Eddy current diagnosis of tubes in heat exchange devices is a non-destructive eddy current test method, which consists of introducing of the probe into the tube, which induces currents in the material tube, and the impact of electromagnetic fields of these currents on the probe can evaluate the state of the tubes.
Eddy current examination can detect without disassembling tube defects such as:

Wall thickness losses along the entire length and circumference of the tube caused by corrosion, erosion, pitting, scratches on the support tubes, scratches by spongy balls, etc.;

Technological and material defects;

A bent.
Through the research, one can eliminate the loss of the tube wall thickness above the acceptable limit, and thus greatly reduce the probability of failure or to decide on partial or integral pipe replacement in the device. The final result is a research report, where the figure marked the bottom of the sieve tubes are different colours with varying degrees of loss of wall thickness. This gives a graphical, easy to interpret picture of the state of the appliance.

Moreover, in the report are:

The exact numerical value of material loss as a percentage of the test tube wall;

Location of defects relative to the bottom of the sieve;

Information whether the defect is on the outside or the inside of the tube.
